DOGMA SOCIETY – “GET AWAY”
A SPILL EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE
Salt Lake City’s Dogma Society return with The Bad Love EP, a raw, genre-blending snapshot of youth, heartache, and resilience—set for release later this year via AWAL.
Written and recorded in-house during a turbulent fall, The Bad Love EP is a product of pure DIY energy. Mixed and mastered by Zach Tuch (Zulu, Knocked Loose, Cafuné), the EP captures the beauty and chaos of coming-of-age moments—heightened by the unexpected arrest of band member Chino Ovalles just days before Dogma Society signed with AWAL. Forced to adapt while navigating the absence of a key member, the band pressed forward, channeling their energy into a record that feels urgent, unfiltered, and real.
Today, the band shares the EP’s first single and video, “Get Away,” a track that embodies their signature fusion of DIY ethos and indie rock chords. “We wanted to make something fast but not aggressive,” the band says of “Get Away.” “Sonny played the guitar chords and the rest pretty much fell into place… We didn’t want to overcomplicate it. This one just flowed out, and the demo became the final version. Besides the mix, of course.”
The single is out now on all platforms, accompanied by a gritty, no-frills video that reflects the track’s raw emotion and DIY spirit.
