“The ‘Passenger Seat’ video was a delight to plan and to execute. We tossed around a few okay story ideas but once the Hays-plays-lost-love idea came up it was a no brainer. The song is about there being one particular person who makes every experience a little more special, and with Hays’ shapely legs at our disposal we figured it was an idea we could run with in an amusing direction. We shot it around residential Nashville with the great Seth Endelman, a local videographer/producer/multi-instrumentalist/label owner/artist (Jah Frida) and the help of a few pals who were easy to drag out of the house for a few minutes.”
This song is just a direct address to all your special someones. Whoever makes you feel like the coolest version of yourself, whoever its the easiest to laugh with, whoever feels best by your side. Its nice to have somebody who you know you can run to when nobody else makes sense, and this is a rocker dedicated to whoever that is for you.
