THE FIN. ARE PLAYING DRAKE UNDERGROUND ON JUNE 16
IN SUPPORT OF THEIR LATEST ALBUM SOMEWHERE BETWEEN
After touring the UK and US, Kobe-born, London-based duo The fin. return with Somewhere Between — their fourth album and first full-length in four years since Outer Ego. Written, produced, recorded, and mixed entirely by Yuto Uchino, the record traces the fluid shift between who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming. Atmospheric synths, piano, and saxophone intertwine with faint guitar textures as identity slips out of focus and gradually re-emerges. The fin.’s signature blend of airy stillness and intimate warmth captures the fleeting glow between hope and solitude, collapse and renewal — and, drawing on soul, R&B, jazz, funk, and gospel, lands somewhere more sophisticated than anything they’ve made before. Mastered by Joe Lambert, with artwork by Swedish design team M&E Studio.
ARTIST QUOTE
“This is an album of transition. It unfolds as a journey through time, perception, and identity — always somewhere between who I was, who I am, and who I am becoming.” ~Yuto Uchino, The fin.
