HOLLY HEBE EMBRACES CHAOS, HEARTBREAK AND ESCAPISM ON NEW SINGLE “CRYING YOUR EYES OUT” + ANNOUNCES MOOD RING NATIONAL TOUR
INDEPENDENT
Holly Hebe continues her rapid ascent as one of Australia’s most exciting breakthrough artists with the release of her new single “Crying Your Eyes Out”, alongside the announcement of her forthcoming EP Mood Ring and a 2026 Australian and New Zealand headline tour presented by triple j.
No longer Melbourne’s “best kept secret”, Holly has carved out a distinctive place in Australian indie pop through piano driven melodies, emotionally precise lyricism and cinematic dream pop production that sits alongside artists like Oklou, Clairo and Mallrat.
Produced with Dennis Neuer, known for his work with Milky Chance, “Crying Your Eyes Out” captures the emotional contradiction of trying to outrun heartbreak through noise, movement and distraction. Pulsing with euphoric energy while quietly unraveling beneath the surface, the track explores loneliness hidden inside crowded rooms, late nights and temporary connections, while balancing edgier production with delicate and intimate vocal moments.
“This song is about distracting yourself from heartbreak with nights out, loud music, playing shows and meeting strangers. It’s about seeking out environments where you are physically surrounded by people, chaos, lights and music as some form of bandaid solution, and then crying about how lonely you are deep down,” Holly shares.
The release also arrives alongside the announcement of Holly’s third EP Mood Ring, due July 17, and a six date Australian and New Zealand headline tour, including her first ever New Zealand headline show presented by Live Nation through their NEXT ON program. All dates will feature support from Sammi Heaney.
Currently touring with Aleksiah, Holly has quickly established herself as one of Australia’s most compelling young live acts, selling out headline shows across Sydney and Melbourne while also appearing at major festivals including Beyond The Valley and the Australian Open. Her growing live reputation has also seen her share stages with Holly Humberstone, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Dreggs and The Rions.
Previous single Birthmark received a triple j Breakfast first play with Concetta & Luka alongside playlist support across Spotify’s New Music Friday AU & NZ and Apple Music’s New Music Daily, while Swimsuit landed on Spotify’s hits different and New Music Friday AU/NZ.
With more than 5 million streams globally, over 50 DSP editorial playlist adds, official showcases at SXSW Austin and SXSW Sydney, and coverage from Rolling Stone AU & NZ, Sydney Morning Herald, Music Feeds and Atwood Magazine, Holly Hebe continues to evolve into one of the defining new voices in Australian indie pop.
