JENNIFER FOSTER – “DON’T WALK ON THE DEAD PEOPLE”
INDEPENDENT
Just in time for Halloween, Toronto singer-songwriter Jennifer Foster spotlights “Don’t Walk On The Dead People,” a standout track from her recently released album, Powerline. The song takes a sideways look at the ephemeral nature of everyday life, with an irreverent shortcut through the neighbouring church graveyard.
Praised by Ron Sexsmith as “a wonderful collection of songs,” Powerline is a folk-pop record inspired by the New Brunswick farm where she grew up. Foster plays Toronto’s Hugh’s Room Live on November 6, opening for Stephen Stanley and NoElectric.
ARTIST QUOTE
“I grew up on a country road with a church and an old graveyard next door – I’d cut through it to go walking up in the woods. Graveyards aways get me feeling philosophical and this song came out of that.”
