THE GLAZZIES – “SPIES OVERHEAD”
Old Flame Records
Consisting of singer/guitarist Peter Landi and drummer Dave Horn, the duo specialize in hook-filled anthems thick with the buzz of overdriven guitars, recalling the heyday of 90’s alternative rock while adding their own particular blend of grunge and psychedelia.
“‘Spies Overhead’ is one of our favorite tracks on the new record,” says Peter Landi. “That song came along really quickly in the writing process and it is also a favorite to play live. When I first came up with the guitar part, the phrase “Spies Overhead” came to mind and I loved the imagery that came along with it. Cold War, government espionage, extraterrestrials. I just thought it was cool!”
Kill Me Kindly was produced by Justin Pizzoferrato (Speedy Ortiz, Sonic Youth) and follows the 2015 Satin Stain EP featuring Dinosaur Jr.’s Murph on drums.
