ELEPHANT STONE ANNOUNCE NEW FUZZ CLUB RECORDS LP BACK INTO THE DREAM
SINGLE/VIDEO “THE SPARK” OUT NOW
Fresh off the back of a run of packed-out UK/EU shows last month, prolific Montreal psych-pop band Elephant Stone are today announcing their new album Back Into the Dream, due out February 23rd via Fuzz Club in Europe. Heading the auditory expedition is the opening track “The Spark”, officially released today alongside a video by Laurine Jousserand.
A compelling invitation to venture beyond the mundane and delve into profound self-exploration, Elephant Stoneβs Rishi Dhir says of the single: βCrafting a song is like tapping into a kind of magic that exists beyond the realm of the ordinary. I’m in perpetual pursuit of that elusive sensationβthe spark that turns fleeting thoughts into something immortal. ‘The Spark’ is my love letter to the art of songwriting, a tribute to the creative process itself. It’s about that serendipitous moment when time and space align, allowing you to capture lightning in a bottle. From that ineffable feeling, I labor to find the right words, striving to make the abstract both concrete and deeply personal. Each completed song leaves me both satisfied and hungryβsatisfied that I’ve said something meaningful, and hungry to rediscover that spark once more.β
Dhir, the creative force behind Elephant Stone, has expertly navigated the psych-pop scene for over 14 years. Their discography, laden with introspective lyrics and transcendent musicality touching on loss, grief, and existential crises, deeply resonates with listeners across the globe. The band β featuring Dhir (vocals, bass, sitar) alongside Miles Dupire (drums), Jason Kent (keys, guitar), and Robbie MacArthur (guitar) β have remained unwaveringly dedicated to their distinctive sound and these new songs continue Elephant Stone’s narrative journey and showcase the band’s ever-evolving sound, deftly balancing human complexities with introspective themes.
