NXNE 2026 – KAELEY JADE
@ THE RIVOLI, TORONTO
JUNE 11, 2026
It’s day one of the FIFA World Cup 2026. When asked about it while performing at NXNE, Edmonton-based singer Kaeley Jade said that Toronto is going to be hectic, but it didn’t stop the alternative-folk artist and partner Gabriel Gagnon from taking centre stage at The Rivoli to a small yet mighty crowd performing songs from her two records: The Great Unknown and Turpentine.
Jade and Gagnon kicked off their setlist from their recent record The Great Unknown. One of those tracks is “Flooding On The Moor.” Jade states the song is about climate change and from personal experience witnessing the Jasper wildfires in her home province.
The performance ends with both Jade and Gagnon singing the titular title track “The Great Unknown” with Jade telling the audience to sing-a-long the three words ‘Who Am I?’ as a self affirmation.
Jade fleshes out her performance exploring different aspects from her recent record showcasing her vocal versatility and showmanship while advocating for live music, love, and a sense of community.
