Bordando el Manto Terrestre
Time Released Sound

Now, we’re talking about some serious dark stuff here. Yet, it is the kind of dark stuff that actually enlightens and makes the true darkness go away.
Bordando el Manto Terrestre is a collaboration between Madrid-born and Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter and pianist maud the Moth (Amaya López-Carromero) and Galician dark ambient project trajedesaliva (Mon Ninguén & unavena).
The title in Spanish translates to “Embroidering the Earth’s Mantle” and is actually the collaborators’ soundtrack to the surrealist painter Remedios Varo. Even if you do not understand Spanish or are familiar with Varo’s work, there is no obstacle to understand (and appreciate) what maud the moth + trajedesaliva are doing here, particularly if you are a fan of dark dream pop/ambient music of high quality, since this album has all the trademarks of the spearheads of such sound(s) – from Cocteau Twins and The Cure to Bark Psychosis and others.
