After experiences with abuse and sexual assault while playing in bands in her local music scene, Banshee aka Rachel Knight decided to move to Los Angeles to spend all of her time on her newly created project Banshee, where Rachel is the sole writer and producer.
On the song BansheeΒ shares,Β “Women are historically turned into mythological monsters to represent the fear of feminine power and autonomy. In Ancient Greece, sirens represented the fear of women gaining societal power. This is Sirencore.”
She continues to see insane growth with every release and is a favorite at places like Revolver, Earmilk, Ones To Watch and Alternative Press, etc with songs being added to leading playlists like Spotifyβs Phonk, Misfits 2.0, New Music Friday, and Alternative Metal, and Apple Musicβs Breaking Metal and Sinister Sounds.
