Two-time JUNO Award-winning roots band The Bros. Landreth release Dog Ear (Live) via Birthday Cake Records, a full-length live companion to their acclaimed 2025 album Dog Ear.

Recorded at Théâtre Cercle Molière (CCFM) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dog Ear (Live) captures a particularly special night for the hometown band: the first time they performed the songs from Dog Ear in front of an audience, before the studio album had even been released.

What began as an opportunity to bring the new record to the stage became a snapshot of the album at its most immediate – before months of touring and familiarity could reshape the songs. Across all eleven tracks, Dog Ear (Live) captures the spontaneity, interplay, and musicianship at the heart of The Bros. Landreth, translating the warmth and intimacy of the studio album in the energy of a live room.

The band offered the first glimpse of the live album in August with “Half Moon Eyes (Live),” released August 12. The performance highlights the chemistry at the core of The Bros. Landreth’s live show, led by brothers Joey and Dave Landreth and shaped by the intuitive musical connection that has developed through years of playing and touring together.

The live album arrives less than a year after the release of Dog Ear, The Bros. Landreth’s fourth full-length album. Drawing on the energy of their touring band and a renewed sense of creative freedom, Dog Ear explored family, stability, parenthood, and the challenge of being a consistent presence in the lives of the people you love while living the itinerant life of a touring musician. The studio album featured collaborations with Bonnie Raitt and Begonia, alongside contributions from longtime collaborators including drummer Roman Clarke, producer Murray Pulver, and keyboardist Glenn Patscha.

With Dog Ear (Live), those songs return to where much of The Bros. Landreth’s music has always felt most at home: onstage, in a room full of people.

Following the release, The Bros. Landreth will take Dog Ear back on the road for an extensive North American tour, beginning September 18 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The run travels throughout the United States in September before heading across Western Canada in November, culminating in a hometown performance at Winnipeg’s Burton Cummings Theatre on November 21. Madeleine Roger will support throughout the tour.
