Darren Hayman, who to many eccentric pop fans is probably best known for his work with left field pop-rockers Hefner, just might be currently one of the most prolific musicians around. Besides Hefner and his own solo work, he runs and collaborates with about a dozen other musical projects.

After the re-release of his album The Violence, recorded with The Long Parliament (originally 2012), just a few months back, he came up with another solo effort titled I’m Your Team, a set recorded a few years back but shelved until now due to the multitude of other commitments he runs at the same time, including the aptly titled new band The New Starts.

In many ways, it just might be a lucky occurrence that Hayman decided to finally release this album that seems to be a part of some sort of a downbeat personal phase. Well, downbeat can go both ways, and it definitely works well here, both for Hayman, but also for anybody that ventures to take a listen.
