MAX BLACK – “NICE GUY”
A Spill Exclusive Video Premiere
Some people say nice guys finish last. But emerging Toronto artist Max Black is just getting warmed up with his debut single “Nice Guy”. The song is a brilliant mix between the driving grooves and luscious, shimmering synths that once found a home in 80’s rock, combined with elements of contemporary pop and dance music. The music video accompanying “Nice Guy” chronicles the last moments of sanity before the monotonous grind of office life breaks Max, causing him to flip out and literally run through the streets of Toronto looking for a place where he can unleash his frustrations and get back to baseline. A few people join in along the way as well.
Artist Quote
“Nice Guy was the obvious choice for the first single as the song and video truly capture what I, and probably most people, sometimes wish they could do working a 9-5 gig. Music has always been my escape and my catharsis, so this release is basically a window into my life right now and succinctly captures where my head is at. Big shout out to my 76 year-old dad for running up and down the streets of Toronto at 3am in -10 degree weather to be in this video.” ~Max Black
