THE SHEEPDOGS ANNOUNCE NEW SHOWS AND SUPPORT ACTS FOR ONTARIO AND QUEBEC
DANIEL ROMANO’S OUTFIT & MOTHERHOOD ANNOUNCED AS SUPPORT
The Sheepdogs have announced additional shows on their current, extensive Canadian tour, alongside two new support acts. Daniel Romano’s Outfit will be joining the band on all Ontario tour dates, with Motherhood announced as support in Quebec. See below for a full routing and check the band’s website for ticket information.
Breaking away from the well-trodden path of major cities and bustling music hubs, The Sheepdogs have been bringing their electrifying live show to the heart of communities across Canada, often overlooked by touring musicians. As a testament to their commitment to music lovers who’ve grown accustomed to traveling long distances for concerts, the band’s tour is spotlighting many towns and places that rarely grace the tour schedules of renowned artists.
“Every night of this tour so far has been a further reminder of why we’re doing this,” says bassist Ryan Gullen. “Canada’s biggest music fans don’t just live in the major cities – every night has been an absolute blast..”
With dates in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and six shows in rural Quebec, the tour reaffirms The Sheepdogs’ dedication to their fanbase, promising unforgettable nights of rock ‘n’ roll magic. “People came out to party every night and showed us a good time,” continues Gullen. “I’m told we broke liquor sales records at multiple shows.”
Joining the Sheepdogs on the second leg of their run are Daniel Romano’s Outfit (Ontario), and Motherhood (Quebec). “On this whole tour, we’ve picked supporting acts we’re fans of, and are excited they are able to get exposure opening the night in some of these smaller centres. It was great to introduce Ellen Froese and JJ Shiplett out west and we are excited to bring Daniel Romano’s Outfit to all the Ontario shows and Motherhood to the Quebec dates.
The Sheepdogs’ latest studio release, Outta Sight, has garnered international acclaim and was nominated for Rock Album Of The Year at the 2023 JUNO Awards. The band has notably maintained a single in the Top 20 for an impressive 62 consecutive weeks, including “Keep On Loving You”, and “Rock and Roll (Ain’t No Simple Thing)” from the band’s 2021 EP No Simple Thing, and “Find The Truth” from their latest effort Outta Sight. They have played over 145 shows internationally in the past year, including numerous trips around North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia.
