THE EAST POINTERS KICK OFF ALMOST SOLD-OUT FALL TOUR NEXT WEEK + ANNOUNCE DELUXE ALBUM WITH SINGLE “SAILING BACK TO SOURIS”

NETTWERK MUSIC GROUP

JUNO Award-winning group The East Pointers (Tim Chaisson and Jake Charron) are set to celebrate big next week when they kick off their nearly sold-out cross-Canada tour, in support of their album Schoonertown. Limited tickets are available for Victoria, BC, London, ON and Peterborough, ON.

The group are thrilled to be joined by Michaela Slinger for the Western leg and Emilea May for the Eastern leg. “They’re both such beautiful singers and brilliant songwriters, so we’re super stoked to have them,” shares the band.

Alongside the exciting tour, the band have recently announced a deluxe edition of Schoonertown is coming soon via Nettwerk. The album will include the gorgeous new single “Sailing Back to Souris,” which received love from Spotify’s NMF Canada, Folk & Friends; Apple Music’s New Music Daily, Made In Canada, New In Alternative and Amazon Music’s Brand New Music Canada.

Released on September 25, 2026, “‘Sailing Back to Souris’ is a song about being away, missing home, and finding your way back to the people and places that keep you pointed in the right direction,” shares the band. “Seeing as we’re about to spend a whole lot of time on the road, the timing felt pretty right.”

2026 has been an exciting year for the band, who not only played their biggest-ever sold-out hometown show in Charlottetown, PEI, but also joined Alan Doyle on tour across Canada and the U.S. They appeared at numerous festivals throughout the summer, including Bear Creek Folk Festival, Woody Point Writers Festival, Area 506, Kerrville Folk Festival and Michigan Irish Music Festival, plus many more. They also recently celebrated the SOLD-OUT fourth edition of their Goolaholla! Festival, which took place last month in PEI.
