SPILL TAB RELEASES ANGIEANGIEANGIE | SHARES “ROAMER” MUSIC VIDEO
BECAUSE MUSIC
AngieAngieAngie, the expanded deluxe edition of spill tab’s debut album ANGIE, is out now via Because Music, featuring four additional tracks.
With AngieAngieAngie, spill tab extends ANGIE’s emotional and sonic landscape, deepening the energy, experimentation, and sharp songwriting that shaped the original project. “The new songs are a collection of tunes that were made around or shortly after the time ANGIE came together,” she states. “Similar to the rest of the album, I wanted to explore a ton of different musical influences that made and continue to make me excited about creating music, and keep growing upon the world of ANGIE while maintaining the desire to deliver honest songwriting, and thoughtful production.”
The deluxe album arrives alongside a music video for the previously unreleased song “Roamer,” a raw manifesto of contemporary aimlessness. Between a thirst for success, a fractured ego, and self-proclaimed solitude, the track embraces provocation and subverts the tropes of “villain,” image, and desire, to expose an unfiltered, intimate truth.
From the haunting, edgy soul of “Suckerrr” to the fragile, sweet tenderness of “coeur chocolat <3,” and her delicate and emotionally charged collaboration with boylife “Paranoia,” the expanded edition unveils the full aesthetic breadth of the spill tab universe.
Since debuting in 2019 with the single “Decompose,” spill tab has been crafting a raw and poetic indie-pop sound, where guitar blends with pop melodies, offering a sonic texture that is both abrasive and addictive. She followed up with three EPs: Oatmilk (2020), Bonnie (2021), and Klepto (2023), collaborating with artists such as Gus Dapperton and Tommy Genesis. Her palpable stage energy has led to stints touring North America and Australia alongside such luminaries as Sabrina Carpenter, Wallows, and King Princess.
She began working on the music for what would become ANGIE without any preconceived notions, exploring new sounds and ideas with her Los Angeles-based community of collaborators, including producer David Marinelli, Grammy Award-winning Solomonophonic, Wyatt and Austin, and John DeBold. “It was a beautiful experience, where I only followed the ideas I truly believed in and explored all the musical avenues I had never traveled before,” she explains.
