Slackers at its best! Naïf Lips are a band based in London doing what they call slacker-rock. With sounds that resemble the attitude of the laziest Tomorrows Tulips and reverb-soaked guitars and vocals, ‘Satellite’ fulfills its mission of putting us to sleep while giving us an electric shock. What about that?
The music video it’s full of VHS glitches, 80’s cheesy commercials and other rarities that help to create the mood they want. Trashy but not disastrous. If you are looking for an alternative to your average indie rock, give this a try.
Artist Quote
“We recorded this tune in our rehearsal space using an old valve amp, old guitars and a 57 mic. The video was recorded in our living room using a chroma and an old weird functioning camera. We try to be creative in every aspect using what we got to do what we want and see in our heads, it’s like a whole artistic project. This is our first work but we feel like we’ve made what we wanted to make.”
