Spotlighting KANGA’s affinity to dance from the introductory beat that takes hold of the listener with a firm grip, to the lyrical content with lines like “I just want to dance, it don’t have to be so complicated, bad girls love to dance,” “Bad Girl” is out everywhere now.
Having shared two singles prior to today’s release, KANGA is showcasing a reinvented sound that demonstrates her growth as a musician. The album’s title track, “Under Glass”, is a pitch-perfect preview into what can be expected from the full-length. Equal parts dreamy and danceable, with a mind-blowing sonic arrangement, it boasts the dark-pop essentials that she’s become known for. The album’s first single, ‘Rehab’, is an invigorating reminder of KANGA’s dynamic, genre-bending style that illustrates her ever-growing ability to flawlessly blend sensational storytelling with electro-pop and harrowing darkwave to create highly-relatable, introspective tracks.

Prominently displayed once again in Rehab is KANGA’s lyrical prowess, with a resonating chorus, “Help me, I’ve got no control, but it was really nice to meet you. I’ve been down this road before, you can feel it, I’m in need of a friend. I know that I should feel bad, but I don’t want to go to rehab.”
KANGAβs work has focused on pushing the boundaries of dark dance beats and pop sensibilities, propelled even further by her notoriously intimate and energetic live performances. Coming off the heels of a year spent touring Europe and the US, KANGA has been in the studio recording a new album that marks a change in direction. For a first taste of her evolved sound, KANGA shared Magnolia last fall, which combines complex melodies, atmospheric overtones, and emotional allegories all wrapped up by KANGAβs signature catchy hooks. Its elevation marks a pivotal moment in KANGA’s discography, opening itself up to a broader audience of listeners who will soon be entranced by a full album’s worth of sultry storytelling.
An LA-based producer, musician, and celebrated songwriter, KANGA’s music has been included in the hit game Cyberpunk 2077, the horror film Terrifier II, and has seen press attention in prestigious publications like Revolver, Post Punk Online, and New Noise Magazine.
