SARAH METH
SOMETHING SHAMEFUL
WISHBONE RECORDS

For those outside a certain music scene, in Sarah Meth’s case it is a big one, London England, it might be a bit hard to catch on immediately on a great talent in this age where so much new music is instantly available. Yet, for the last few years, Meth has been starting to make waves on the London scene itself, with a few singles and two cassettes, now releasing her formal debut album (on her own record label), Something Shameful.
The moment this album opens you realize you are listening to a brilliant talent that has the right touch with everything – songwriting, carefully crafted lyrics, and a voice to match that can be compared to another bright talent that is Faye Webster. Maybe it all has something to do with the fact that her mother signed her up for a children’s choir aged 4 (“It was all classical, choral music… I think that really trained my ears,” notes Meth), or it could be just pure talent and a bit of experience, but what we have here is a contender for the end of the year list.
