SCOTT KLEIN – “HEY LADY”

Texas based Canadian musician blends, Southern Gothic and Americana.

His single “Hey Lady” features Erica Maier of The Garrys on lead guitar and backing vocals, with Lucas Goetz (formerly of Deep Dark Woods) on drums and lap steel, and Chris Mason (also ex-Deep Dark Woods) on bass. It’s a portrait of a woman from a prairie town—her life dulled by addiction and isolation, reaching for a way out.

Klein is currently recording with RIAA Gold-certified producer Chris “Boo” Boosahda (Shakey Graves) and Jonathan Tyler (Nikki Lane, Paul Cauthen, Reckless Kelly). It’s a song about a woman in a prairie town, worn down by addiction and small-town silence, looking for a way out.

His single “Sunshine” was written for a lost lover. “What’s My Name” explores memory, disconnection, and the damage we carry. His 2022 album Jesse’s Hotel—featuring Leot Hanson (The Sheepdogs)—was nominated for a Saskatchewan Music Award.
