What is this magical, mystical madness I have stumbled across here? Covering several musical genres, Lord of the Lost is an eclectic mix of heavy metal, glam, and industrial rock. Visually alluring, Chris “The Lord” Harms is the most fabulous dark unicorn I have ever seen, and for those playing from home, this outfit represented Germany in Eurovision 2023. Even more remarkable is Weapons Of Mass Seduction, which combines a collection of covers and a relaxed approach to an album. The covers are uniquely diverse in their genre adaptation, adding a twist to classic faves.

Weapons of Mass Seduction delivers two comprehensive CDs and a third limited deluxe edition. Some of these tracks have been previously released, like Roxette’s cover of “The Look” featuring Blümchen, with new gems ranging from ’80s classics like Billy Idol’s “Shock to the System” and Michael Jackson’s “Give In To Me” to more contemporary Sia’s “Unstoppable”, there is something for everyone. It’s not dull… their goth, industrial is sick. Lord of the Lost has a splendid way of layering tracks with their sensual style, enduring across all cover versions. The limited deluxe edition looks super cool – with Pink Floyd and David Bowie covers, I’m thirsty to hear more.

Equally impressive is their entertaining music videos; these bold-looking humans are even more captivating through their visual aesthetic and don’t shy away from the added effect of a theme or costume. Although I haven’t seen them live, I’d imagine they’d go off; it would be hectic! I’m frothing over their take on Roxette’s “The Look” I’ve never seen neon look so freakin’ sweet. Equally stimulating is their version of Billy Idol’s “Shock to the System”. Good lord, the makeup, the cheekbones, the leather, I think I’m in love.

I highly recommend Lord of the Lost and Weapons of Mass Seduction. It speaks to all demographics; there is a little something for everyone. With only 1000 limited deluxe box sets available through Napalm, you must be quick. Invest some time on their YouTube channel; you won’t be disappointed!
