Golden Cinema
Peachy Keen
Independent
Canadian Power pop band Golden Cinema has come to grace 2019 with their presence, with a small yet powerful EP Peachy Keen, an amazing independent release, their first since their 2016 release of their self-titled EP Golden Cinema.
With its glittery summery guitar patterns accompanied by insouciant, soothing vocals, itβs hard not to like any of the three songs on Peachy Keen. Each track takes us back a decade on a sunny, carefree, instrumental journey that almost feels nostalgic in nature, even though it may be your first-time listening experience to this. Standout moments on the EP such as βColour Me Inβ speak volumes to this bandβs ability to create a fun track with its infectious, empty-room vocals, and stunningly effective jocund guitar work.
Though only three songs, Peachy Keen manages to deliver a relaxing pop summer euphony like no other, and almost makes you wish you were back in summer, basking in the instrumental ambiance this EP offers to its listeners. Its replay-ability is what makes this such an effective release. For fans of power pop, this will really pull you back into that summer haze. This is the November release that will really make you sit down, sit back, and enjoy where the ride takes you.
