LEISURE SUITE RELEASE LUSH NEW VIDEO FOR “HEAVY HEAD”

Dreamy Melbourne duo Leisure Suite release ultra-lush video for ‘Heavy Head’. Aptly setting the scene for their forthcoming record, opening track ‘Heavy Head’ is a narcotic slow-jam dabbling in moments of soul, pop and downtempo electronica. It‘s visual accompaniment – directed by James J Robinson – is gorgeously crafted to suit. Muted colours, a soft focus and intimate, kaleidoscopic images of sleepy subjects only add to the track’s sedative effect.
Praised by the likes of NME Magazine, Indie Shuffle and Triple J, Leisure Suite’s eponymous debut EP certainly set the bar high. However, it seems the fledgling duo are set to exceed expectations with their sophomore release. Singles ‘Sweet Gin’ and ‘Feel’ exhibit some of their most mature and restrained work yet – and ‘Heavy Head’ certainly follows suit – though the duo still hold as true to their namesake as ever, crafting songs as lush and leisurely as they come. Swirling synth melodies and downtempo beats underpin Bridgette Le’s velvet-smooth vocals, forging dreamy soundscapes redolent of The XX or Snakadaktal. Having shared the stage with the likes of Alpine, Tora, Willow Beats and Oisima, along with a highlight performance at Paradise Music Festival last year, Leisure Suite show no signs of slowing down in 2016.
Lay Low is due for release February 15th via Deaf Ambitions.
