Secret Sign is a Toronto-based electronic band producing sincere 80βs influenced pop, with a deep admiration for new wave, new romantic, and disco.
Comprised of vocalist Kaila Moon, Guitarist/Keyboardist Danny Alexander, and Keyboardist Phil Baljeu, the band indulges their synth-pop desires in a modern setting.
Recorded over the course of 2016, Secret Sign’s debut EP Fever DanceΒ is a collection of pastel-hued synth pop. Conjuring Italo-Disco, Depeche Mode, and early Madonna, Fever Dance represents Secret Signβs brighter, pop-oriented side.

“Fever DanceΒ is our love letter to 80’s pop. Pop that was overtly synthetic. We tried to get into the mindset of the composition, techniques, and technology used at the time in the early to mid 80’s. 8 and 16-bit samplers, the transition from analog synthesis to digital, obsession with reverb, emphasis on lead melodies… we used these concepts and techniques to sculpt Fever Dance in to what it is.”Β ~Phil Baljeu
