CHARLOTTE DAY WILSON SHARES NEW SINGLE “HIGH ROAD”
OUT NOW VIA STONE WOMAN MUSIC/XL RECORDINGS
Today, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Charlotte Day Wilson releases her latest single, “High Road,” out now via Stone Woman Music/XL Recordings. Known for her singular fusion of contemporary R&B, jazz, and evocative vocal craft, “High Road” begins with a delicate piano line before blooming into an experimental soundscape—layered with soaring, soulful harmonies, pulse-like rhythms, and lyrics that cut with haunting honesty.
Following last month’s “Selfish,” co-written and co-produced by Saya Gray, Ace G, and Braden Sauder, “High Road” further showcases Wilson’s mastery in reshaping contemporary R&B with her cinematic production and a voice that is at once commanding and exquisitely tender. In October, Wilson was honored with the 2025 Innovator Award at the Billboard Canada Women in Music ceremony. This year’s event made history as the Innovator Award was presented in Canada for the first time, a fitting recognition for an artist whose creative expression and visionary production have made her a touchstone artist in modern music.
Since her breakout 2016 EP CDW, Wilson has continued to captivate audiences. With her 2018 EP, Stone Woman, 2021 debut album Alpha, and her most recent album, Cyan Blue (2024), Charlotte Day Wilson has garnered high praise from media outlets such as The New York Times, NPR, Pitchfork, The FADER, The Guardian, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Grammy.com, and more. Over the past decade, her music has extended its influence beyond the studio with artists such as Drake, John Mayer, and James Blake sampling her work. Wilson has also collaborated with acclaimed musicians Kaytranada, BADBADNOTGOOD, and Syd, and most recently, with Montreal producer Ouri on the track “Behave.” In November, Wilson concluded her run on the second leg of Giveon’s “Dear Beloved, The Tour”.
As “Selfish” and “High Road” signal the start of her next chapter, they illuminate the lush and resonant new era that Wilson is bringing to life.
