The first single from The Drug Rugs’ forthcoming EP, Sandbar was recorded at Spaces Between in Halifax’s North End, while the final touches were added by Brooklyn-based engineer Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, Weezer).

“The video is a beautiful and delirious daydream,” said The Drug Rugs’ Laura Kempton. “[Director] Jeff Miller paired colourful imagery with the song’s surf-pop tones to perfectly capture our sparkly, psychedelic leanings.”
