Brooklyn alternative rock meets punk trio MONTE has just premiered their latest music video for their hard-hitting single “Dysfunctional Mess”. The song is an autobiographical and important account of finding self empowerment and learning your own mistakes after a toxic and bad breakup. Lead singer and rock goddess Caitlin Montclare of MONTE shares, “Dysfunctional Mess’ rose from the ashes of a bad break-up. But don’t get it twisted, this is more than your typical ex-lover diss track. It’s about taking yourself back, knowing who you are, and coming out of a toxic situation more knowledgeable and grown.” The thrilling musical escape features riveting melodies sung in a powerful punk rock delivery. Jagged and thrashing guitar riffs, dynamic basslines and untamed drums add to the gritty and enjoyable sonic journey. In the accompanying music video, the band is seen performing in a dark club interjected with scenes of lead singer Caitlin singing in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. The video is the perfect addition to the release, inviting the listener into their world.
