Toronto Urban Roots Fest (TURF) returns to Fort York Garrison Common Historical Site on September 16th-18th. Today the festival is excited to announce that Pennsylvania’s Ween will now be headlining Saturday and Modern Baseball joins Friday’s line-up for 2016. See the daily schedule here. TURF was recently nominated for two awards in the first ever Canadian Live Music Awards, both for Medium Festival of the Year, and New Kid on the Block, alongside the Winnipeg Folk Festival, Interstellar Rodeo, Field Trip, and Way Home.
The nominations came on the heels of being the only Canadian festival this year nominated by the prestigious Pollstar Awards in the category of North American Festival of the Year alongside The Newport Folk Fest and San Franciscoβs Treasure Island.
