NOISE OF THE VOID ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL HAMMER SLAMMER FESTIVAL
TAKES PLACE IN HAMILTON AT CORKTOWN PUB SATURDAY AUGUST 8
Next month, Hammer Slammer is set to take over Hamilton’s Corktown Pub on Saturday August 8. Presented by Noise of the Void, the inaugural musical festival showcases the local Hamilton alternative and heavy music scene while exposing local music consumers to incredible Canadian acts. With one venue, two stages, 12 bands (a line up filled with artistically rich acts) and no overlaps, Hammer Slammer also hopes to make Hamilton a notable destination for high-quality alternative heavy music and promises “One hell of a good time!”
Hammer Slammer is run by the members of Hamilton’s alt metal staples, Loversteeth, and their new agency called Noise of the Void. Noise of the Void’s mission is to support independent artists through concert booking, technical productions and artist relations. The vision behind the outfit and the festival is to interconnect music scenes across not only Hamilton, but all of eastern Canada.
“Hammer Slammer reflects the quality of acts that the underground music scene can produce; it’s a celebration of some of the best underground acts in Canada, but it is also meant to be accessible. There’s something for everyone on this fest and with affordable ticketing, it really is an invitation for all GTHA music fans to gather, engage in community and celebrate each other,” shares Karl Lebel Viens, Festival Founder.
Early Bird tickets are currently available for $20 while Student Tickets are also available for the same price (with a valid student ID). Pre-Sale tickets are available upon Early Bird selling out, and will be $25. You will also be able to get tickets at the door for $30, subject to capacity and pre-sales.
