“Nimble” marks the beginning of a new chapter for Toronto-based artist Kylo, and the first glimpse into her upcoming full-length album, The Space In Between. Moving away from the electronic sound of her earlier work, the single strips things back to the essentials – her voice, her lyrics, and real instrumentation. Rooted in indie folk, singer-songwriter, pop, and subtle country influences, “Nimble” introduces a more organic and vulnerable side of her artistry.
The song explores the sudden end of a relationship, capturing the messy mix of heartbreak, anger, nostalgia, and longing that follows when someone leaves before you’re ready. Looking back on a relationship that meant so much while trying to process how quickly it ended, “Nimble” sits in the space between missing someone and being hurt by them – setting the emotional tone for this new era of Kylo’s music
