The Buzzcocks asked and SUSU answered. The New York-based rockers SUSU have love on their minds with a new cover of the Buzzcocks’ classic “Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve?)”.
SUSU – Two black female artists, partners, best friends, and business owners. They’re known for their eclectic style Blending soul, rock ’n’ roll, and a kaleidoscope of inspirations and influences. Belonging to the underrepresented demographic of black women in rock, SUSU is making their outlook known.
Lyrically, Liza and Kia explore a variety of political, personal, and emotional arcs throughout their music. SUSU stands for unity and ‘Better Together’. It’s a collective, rooted in highlighting black rock ’n’ roll voices. A punk ethos and a huge love for The Buzzcocks made sense for them to remake one of their favorite love songs and… a good cover is hard to find. “Ever Fallen in Love” is the perfect sonic and energetic fit.

We were a brand new band, consummated on Valentine’s Day, in the pink of our 5-week European honeymoon. We found ourselves leaving behind the tour we had just fallen in love with due to circumstances beyond our control…A Pandemic?!?!
