Retro-pop trio Empty Houses are proud to announce their signing to Sargent House, with whom they will release their debut album, Daydream, on June 10. Fans can preorder Daydream beginning tomorrow, Friday, April 8th.
Produced by four-time Grammy-winner Graham Marsh (Bruno Mars, CeeLo Green, Common) and Empty Houses at Parhelion Studios in Atlanta, Daydream marks the first release for the Detroit-based group, which formed in 2014 and features Ali Shea, Adam Mercer and David Mackinder.
Throughout its 10 tracks, Daydream is as timeless as it is uplifting, harkening back to the soulful stylings of Motownโa fitting choice given Empty Housesโ Motor City hometownโto crystalize the charm of this iconic musical era and give it a 21st-century sonic update. Itโs a confident, classic sound thatโs never really gone out of style, and here itโs bolstered by brassy horns, pounding piano and undeniable grooves that pay homage to Hitsville U.S.A.
