2025 JUNO AWARDS
ROGERS ARENA, VANCOUVER
The 2025 Juno Awards Ceremony, held at the Rogers Center in Vancouver, was truly a night to be Canadian. From powerhouse performances to well-deserved wins, the evening was a celebration of the country’s diverse and thriving music scene.
The show kicked off with a stunning opening number featuring host Michael Bublé alongside Elisapie, Jonita Gandhi, and Maestro Fresh Wes. The collaborative performance set the tone for the night, blending different genres and generations of Canadian music into one unforgettable moment. Michael Bublé took on hosting duties with his signature charm, wit, and effortless charisma, proving to be the perfect fit for this year’s ceremony. His presence kept the night flowing with humour and warmth, making the awards feel like a true gathering of musical talent and appreciation.
The night was packed with dynamic performances from artists across the musical spectrum. Aqyila, Peach Pit, Tia Wood, and Snotty Nose Rez Kids each brought their own unique energy to the stage, showcasing the incredible range of talent within Canada’s music scene. A highlight of the night was the powerful collaboration between Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga, Jazzy B, and Gminxr, which celebrated Canada’s rich South Asian music community and had the audience on their feet.
One of the standout moments of the night was BBNO$’s electrifying performance. Bringing out a group of drag queens, he turned the stage into a vibrant, high-energy spectacle that embodied his signature playfulness and creativity. His win for the TikTok Fan Choice Award was well-earned, reflecting not only his massive online presence but also his undeniable ability to entertain and engage audiences.
The Beaches also had a major moment, taking home Group Of The Year. The all-female rock band has been a fan favourite for some time, and this win solidified their place as one of Canada’s most beloved acts. Their energy and authenticity continue to set them apart in the industry.
Another highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary Canadian singer Anne Murray. Presented by Sarah McLachlan, this honour was a testament to Murray’s lasting impact on the music industry and her role in paving the way for future generations of Canadian artists.
Closing out the show in a truly unforgettable way, Sum 41 was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame and delivered their last ever performance. Their explosive medley of hits was both a celebration of their decades-long career and a bittersweet farewell to one of Canada’s most iconic rock bands. The energy in the arena was electric as fans and fellow artists honoured their legacy.
From start to finish, the 2025 Junos were filled with celebration, nostalgia, and a deep appreciation for Canadian music. With legendary moments, star-studded performances, and well-earned awards, this year’s show was one for the history books.
