Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
Who Built The Moon?
Universal Music
Following a two-year collaboration with renowned producer, DJ and composer David Holmes in both his Belfast and London studios, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have returned with their first album since 2015s Chasing Yesterday, Who Built The Moon?
The more prolific of the Oasis brothers (Noel and Liam Gallagher), Noel wrote extensively in the studio for the first time, leaping into laboratory conditions and cut and paste experimentation with Holmes, along with help from Paul Weller (organ on “Holy Mountain”), and Johnny Marr (guitar and harmonica on “If Love is the Law”).
Key tracks of the 11 studio cuts include “Holy Mountain”, the masterpiece “It’s a Beautiful World”, “Be Careful What You Wish For” and the unforgettable title track “Fort Knox”, which is destined to be a classic. There’s also a bonus live acoustic ballad from Dublin included, titled “Dead in the Water.”
Gallagher brings his live band to Toronto (Sony Centre) and Montreal (Place Des Arts) to showcase Who Built The Moon? in mid February 2018.
