Soulful, jazz/funk Hammond B3 organ trio JVβS BOOGALOO SQUAD (Joel Visentin, Adam Beer-Colacino, Jeff Halischuk) releases their debut masterpiece Going To MarketΒ (Flatcar Records, Fontana North) Friday, February 15th, and launches a string of dates in Ontario and Quebec, including Kingston, Peterborough, Ottawa, Montreal and finally Thursday, February 21 at Burdock in Toronto. The mostly original album (plus one killer cover of βChain of Foolsβ), showcases the squadβs soulful sound that is simultaneously lost in the thrill of the moment while evoking a timeless musical nostalgia. At the centre of the album are Visentin’s massive Hammond B3 organ skills, and wholly inspired performances from the band’s superb solos to their signature flashy endings.
