Sara Lew, aka Sara Lewis Sørensen is a Danish songwriter, singer and guitarist that, after three initial singles presents her debut album Loud.

The album title just might be a bit deceiving, as Lew’s jazzy guitar overtones go some more atmospheric places, than it might suggest. Her classical and jazz musical background is all over the place here, but Lew puts them firmly in place of her dream-pop songs that range anywhere between Mazzy Star and mellower side of Björk.

It is a heady combination that can easily go awry in the hands and voice of somebody that is not inventive or able enough to handle it, but Lew seems to have both inventiveness and ability to do so. Lew also handles both the arrangements and production here, and backed only by Anders Filipsen (keyboard/synth) and Jeppe Gram (drums), shows us that we are in a presence of an intriguing musical talent.
