SHIMIZU AND ROSA LANDERS UNVEIL “DOWN4U” – A DREAMY AFRO HOUSE JOURNEY

Brazilian producer and multi-instrumentalist Rafa Mura, under his music project Shimizu, has teamed up with Berlin-based singer and performer Rosa Landers to release their new single, “Down4U”. A rhythmic and evocative blend of Afro House and 90s-inspired synths, “Down4U” takes listeners on a sonic journey of intense emotions, exploring the complexities of love, desire, and personal differences.

“Down4U” is more than just a dance track. Infused with Afro House beats and dreamy, vintage-style synths, the song tells a heartfelt story of two people in love who realize they want different things from life. Even though their affection is strong, they struggle to reconcile their individual needs. Still, there’s an undeniable magnetic pull between them, and despite their differences, the singer expresses, “Still I’m feeling down for you,” underscoring the bittersweet feeling of wanting to be together, no matter how uncertain the future may be.

This new single reflects Shimizu’s signature style of creating “sad songs to dance to”—a perfect fusion of emotional storytelling and energetic beats. With “Down4U”, Shimizu continues to deliver a unique blend of analog and electronic music, creating a nostalgic yet modern soundscape that is at once groovy, melodic, and deeply emotive.

Shimizu is the brainchild of Brazilian-born, Berlin-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Rafa Mura. Known for blending analogue and digital soundscapes, Rafa’s music draws heavily from his Brazilian roots while incorporating the experimental, free-spirited energy of Berlin’s music scene. Named after the Japanese word for “pure water,” Shimizu’s music seeks to evoke the same fluidity and comfort that water provides—versatile, soothing, and ever-changing.

Since moving to Berlin at 18, Rafa has collaborated with a number of prominent artists in the city’s creative landscape, including Aka Kelzz, Rosa Landers, and Ish. Beyond his musical projects, Rafa has made a name for himself in the film industry, crafting soundtracks and sound design for major brands like Mercedes, Adidas, and Sky Television, seamlessly merging his technical expertise with his artistic vision.

Rosa Landers, a Berlin native, is a multifaceted artist whose career has spanned acting, music, and live performance. Trained in musical theater and acting in Barcelona and London, Rosa has made a name for herself with live performances that are both humorous and melancholic, blending soulful jazz and dreamy R’n’B with a distinctive Berlin underground twist. Rosa recently released her debut solo EP Raised.
