Rory McBride
Sonic Lullaby
Independent
Keeping things short and sweet just might be a perfect way for an artist to introduce themself and their music to the world.
That is exactly the route 29-yr-old American singer/songwriter/poet Rory Mc Bride takes with his brief, butt utterly satisfying three-song EP, Sonic Lullaby. We have already introduced McBride with his brilliant song/poetry single “The Azure Kingβ opening the EP here.
At the same time, the other two tracks are musically austere, and simple, and layered, and complex at the same time — brief and to the point as any good flash fiction can be. And while with βThe Azure Kingβ, McBride recalls Jim Morrison without trying to be pretentious. With the EP title and the two other tracks here, he harks back to another specific and great singer songwriter, Tim Buckley.
What a way to introduce your art.
