SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: TWO YEAR BREAK – SELL ME FATE

Two Year Break

Two Year Break
Sell Me Fate
Independent

One of the U.K.’s best and brightest up and coming pop punk bands Two Year Break has released yet another wonderful album, Sell Me Fate.

From the very beginning of this well-produced piece of music, Sell Me Fate exposes us to a small heavenly dose of summer paradise with its blush, sun-drenched, guitar patterns and punchy drums. Though the instrumental prowess speaks volumes to this band’s talent within their genre, the lyrical content by far deserves its praises as it is deep, and can resonate with a great many music listeners about break-ups and the issues that stem from that whether it be emotional or psychological pain.

While most of the album has an energetic and dynamic presence, moments like “Alone in the Ocean” and “Passing By” are nice palette cleansers within the EP, keeping the listening experience from being dull and lackluster. Other tracks such as “DALTITE” and “All I Want” are very playful, have such replayable value, and establish the sound Two Year Break wants to show to world.

Overall, Sell Me Fate is great little EP to show off what this band can do in all its glory. I can only see them blowing up within the next few years if any future projects are just as phenomenal as this one. For those that love pop punk that is addictive, gives you the feeling of summer and sunsets all year long, and has deep lyrical resonance, this is worth spinning a couple of times.
