Brown Acid: The Eighth Trip is a time capsule which has concealed the secluded and otherworldly Woodstock spirit in a vacuum of proto-metal and stoner-rock absolute gems!

The compilation is curated by Daniel Hall of RidingEasy Records and Lance Barresi, co-owner of the retailer Permanent Records. The series strongly communicates the nostalgic infatuation with the 1960s era and it longs to revive the long-forgotten or unheard albums of the past in yet another edition.

But if we blow the dust off these albums, what we hear is the whiz of electric guitars and snare drums going bananas in “School Daze” and “Wayfarer”. A whimsical psychedelic bang is the cover of Cream’s “Tales of the Brave Ulysses” by Inside Experience with true fuzzbox effects. Lyrically and instrumentally “I Need My Music” by Tourists expresses the moods and blues of a revolutionary time for music that ties together the 1960s sound of the album, not to mention that the distorted noises of the albums assert their authenticity and sacredness.

The eighth edition of Brown Acid is an enigmatic trip through the grooves of the Summer of Love.
