POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE GALA LIVE STREAM TONIGHT | MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th

The winner of the 2016 Polaris Music Prize will be revealed tonight (Monday, September 19th) at the Gala held at The Carlu in Toronto. Spill Magazine joins in the sharing of the stream below. Watch for it right here in just a few short hours!

The Gala kicks off ‪at 8 p.m. ET and will be hosted by Tom Power, new host of CBC Radio One’s q / Polaris jurist, and Amanda Parris, host of CBC Exhibitionists / CBC Radio 2’s Marvin’s Room. It will be streamed live on CBC Music (‪cbcmusic.ca/polaris) and via CBC Music’s YouTube Channel.  The gala will feature performances by Black Mountain, Basia Bulat, Carly Rae Jepsen, Jessy Lanza, Andy Shauf, U.S. Girls and White Lung with added musical support by members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

‪On Sunday, September 18 at 5 p.m. (‪5:30NT), CBC-TV aired a one-hour special, CBC Music’s Polaris Music Prize Primer. Hosted by Talia Schlanger, the Polaris Primer offered everything you needed to know the night before the Gala. The night featured performances and interviews with Carly Rae Jepsen, Grimes, Basia Bulat and more.
