OK COWGIRL – “RHINESTONE COWGIRL”

Brooklyn, NY based band Ok Cowgirl today have released their new album Rhinestone Cowgirl via Easy Does It Records. Produced by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Wednesday, Indigo De Souza), the LP is their most expansive and refined effort to date. The band has also shared new single and Silas Connolly-directed video for the album’s title track. “Rhinestone Cowgirl” and its singles “Rock N Roll Ruined My Life,” “Cruise The Town,” “God Made A Farmer,” and “Prepared To Lose” .
Last week, the band announced a September Midwest tour with Brother Bird, which includes dates at Chicago’s Subterranean (9/24), Detroit’s TSDMAAC Confessional (9/25), and more. The band will also played a New York record release at Baby’s All Right.
On Rhinestone Cowgirl, the Brooklyn-based indie rock outfit find themselves sharpening the emotionally direct songwriting and textured arrangements that have become their signature. Led by vocalist Lavigne, the band’s new sophomore LP follows 2024’s debut Couldn’t Save Us From My Gut, and where that record traced the fault lines of self-trust and romantic unraveling, Rhinestone Cowgirl widens the lens. It’s a bigger, brighter, more self-assured record, one that trades the debut’s inward spiral for something closer to catharsis.
Produced once again by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Indigo De Souza, Wednesday), Rhinestone Cowgirl deepens the creative partnership that shaped the band’s debut while pushing the sound into new territory.
