“MANDOLIN DELOREAN” BY GOLD LEADER OUT NOW
COLOR RED MUSIC
“We Won’t Be Together” is a tribute to the acid jazz style of the Brand New Heavies with several complex jazz chords that entice listeners. The song is about a friend who is working through a difficult divorce and the challenges of trying to put up a facade that everything is going just fine, but hiding the reality of a problematic relationship.
Fuzz Collective tracked in Studio B at 2200 Studios (formerly The Record Plant) where Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone, and the Grateful Dead recorded during the studio’s heyday. Fuzz Collective features guitarist and vocalist Jeff Yasuda, bassist and vocalist Ethan Beard, harmonica player and vocalist Pete Chung, drummer and vocalist Tim Fisher, and keyboardist and vocalist Jason Tavano.
“Mandolin Delorean” is Gold Leader’s final single in advance of their debut album. This new track packs a funky rock punch with sounds reminiscent of Sven Wunder and Monophonics. Recorded at More Noise Studio, the home base of keyboardist Eric Luba, and co-produced by Luba alongside drummer Will Trask, the single and upcoming album release is rooted in collective energy. Every track began as a shared sketch between one or two members before being passed around the room, expanded, challenged, and refined by the full band.
