TREE MUSEUM – “TWO HOMES”
A Spill Exclusive Video Premiere
“Two Homes”, the lead single off the self-titled EP by Torontoβs Tree Museum, is more than a lush indie anthem with a dark groove – Β itβs a milestone. The song and accompanying video symbolize the end of the bands formative years: a 3 year journey through multiple line-up changes, a host of side-projects, and countless live-performances.Β
The “Two Homes” video is a fever-dream of moments captured from the groups landmark performance at Torontoβs Legendary Horseshoe Tavern; a venue the band wanted to experience from the stage ever since they first began performing in the city. Featuring both past and present members, it captures the band at a turning point of embracing both an achievement and a nervous excitement for the future.
Watch the premier below and on the bandβs new website treemuseum.ca and follow Tree Museum on social for details on new music and tour dates this July.
Artist Quote
“Two Homes is a song about choosing your identity. Sometimes you have to deal with the cross-section of who you present yourself as and who you really are – and it can be a bit hard to swallow. We wrote the song at a point when we weβre going through a lot of lineup changes and had to make some hard decisions about the future of the group and who would be a part of it. Two Homes seemed like the perfect expression of our struggle between what we were at the moment and what we wanted to become. It was time to leave our comfort zone and find ourselves a new ‘home’.”Β ~Aaron Tocheri
