About The Ginger Fox Band:
The Ginger Fox band are firm believers that there are still fresh roads to be traveled in old-school amplified rock. They believe that there’s something special that can come out of being in a room with a couple of overdriven amps, a thundering bass, crackling drums, shimmering cymbals and a soulful singer. They craft original songs that evoke that move your feet and feel the wind in your hair feeling that people got from led zeppelin, CCR and deep purple. It’s visceral, it’s analog, it’s kind of dirty in the coolest way.
In drummer Derek Van Dusen, bassist Kevin Komaranski and guitarist Alex Spearman, they have a mean rhythm section that rumbles, slashes, grabs attention and moves hips. Ryan Wheatley is building on top of the great pyramids of blues rock lead guitar, and singer Warren Meredith is nothing short of spectacular, with agile, soul-influenced melodies delivered with power and personality.
Having spent more than two years honing their craft and their songs in Ottawa, Ontario’s many fine music venues, the Ginger Fox Band have moved forward with their first release, a 6 song EP, entitled “Won’t Change” that has been lovingly and meticulously crafted in a two-century old barn in the outskirts of Ottawa.
