AUDREY – “THE IMPOSSIBLE”

Audrey aka Brittany Allen is no newcomer to the arts, being an Emmy Award winning actress gearing up for her new film Jigsaw (from the SAW franchise) coming out this Halloween. The creativity constraining process of being an actress the past 20 years, while storing endless voice memos, began to take a toll on the artistic merit of Allen. This ultimately lead her to a piano to flush out ideas at an art gallery in LA, using the simple tool of Garageband. Inspiration found her while dealing with the complacency of society and the disturbingly successful US presidential election of Trump, penning the first track βThe Impossibleβ. Teaming up with the co-producers Blitz//Berlin and select members of Future PEERS led this collaboration to find sonic similarities found in projects such as Peaches, Garbage and Dot Allison.
“I wrote this song from a place of feeling frustrated and helpless with way the world is. I want to personally stop turning a blind eye and being lulled into a state of complacency. That’s what the chorus is all about: stop being so caught up in bullshit and KICK IT UP. ”
