AYSANABEE KICKS OFF ‘THE WAY WE’RE BORN’ CANADIAN HEADLINING TOUR
TOUR IN SUPPORT OF SOPHOMORE ALBUM EDGE OF THE EARTH OUT NOW VIA ISHKŌDÉ RECORDS
Two-time JUNO Award-winning Oji-Cree artist Aysanabee (Ace-in-abbey) has been riding a mighty wave for over three years, and this fall he’s bringing it coast to coast. Following the release of his sophomore album Edge Of The Earth (June 20, 2025 via Ishkōdé Records) – hailed by NEXT Magazine as an “album full of stadium-ready anthems” – Aysanabee will kick off The Way We’re Born Tour on November 6 in Edmonton, AB, with more than 20 dates across Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, and Ontario.
In a move that reflects his commitment to community, Aysanabee is once again thrilled to announce that each show will feature local Indigenous openers (see full list below). “I had the best time featuring and connecting with local Indigenous artists on the first leg of my headlining tour this past winter, and I couldn’t wait to do it again for this next run. This time, we’re showcasing even more incredible Indigenous talent from across the country. Fans are in for a real treat,” says Aysanabee.
This next leg of his first-ever Canadian headlining tour follows a summer filled with festivals, tours in Australia and Taiwan, the Here & Now Canadian winter tour, two celebrated support runs with Allison Russell and Dan Mangan, and appearances at major international festivals such as Riddu Riddu in Norway, with an upcoming stop at the Nürnberg Pop Festival in Germany. Fans can expect to hear his powerful storytelling and soaring performances of radio hits, including “Edge of the Earth,” “Nomads,” “We Were Here,” “Somebody Else,” and his newest Top 20 charting single “Home.”

About Edge Of The Earth
On his sophomore album, Edge of the Earth, Aysanabee embarks on a transformative journey of will, sacrifice, and self-discovery. Following the deeply personal narratives of Watin and the introspective exploration of Here and Now, Edge of the Earth expands his sonic horizons, blending his signature fingerstyle guitar with lush, cinematic soundscapes.
The album’s title track encapsulates the theme of movement—both physical and emotional—leaving behind burdens and embracing an uncharted future.
“Every song on this record offers a window into very transitional moments in my life. Over the last few years I was faced with decisions that often took me inwards and made me question the core of my creativity, “What drives me to make art and how much would I be willing to sacrifice for it?” I mulled over calling the record Reflections or Patterns, but landed on Edge of the Earth, because oftentimes these decisions would take me to the edge of an unknown and leave me wondering if I was ready to take a leap of faith. I can’t say I was ready, but I can tell you how it felt, and it is in these songs,” shares Aysanabee.
