MASSIVE EGO RETURNS WITH COMEBACK SINGLE “IN YOUR OWN DARKNESS”

Massive Ego, the iconic British band led by Marc Massive, is thrilled to announce their comeback with the new single “In Your Own Darkness.” After a two-year hiatus, marked by Marc’s mental health journey and a departure from public life, the band is not only back but has also evolved with fresh faces and a vibrant new sound.
The comeback single, a deeply personal piece by Marc, symbolizes his cathartic return to songwriting. Marc shared that it was a transformative experience to create music again, shedding the past and the persona that once defined him. “Lyrically, the new single is a somewhat personal song,” singer Marc Massive shared, “I realised if I was to come back, I needed to do everything differently this time. And that meant leaving the past behind, and no longer feeling like I needed to hide behind the ‘wig and make-up’ that I’d become known for, and ultimately became a prison of my own making”.
Joining Marc and drummer Olly Frost are new member Porl Young, a former member of the goth band Rosetta Stone, and returning keyboardist Lloyd Price. Porl brings ’80s post-punk vibes and innovative guitar work, while Lloyd reintroduces his signature blend of analogue synths. This dynamic combination enhances Massive Ego’s signature sound. The band made a celebrated return at the Out Of Line Weekender Festival in Berlin, signaling exciting developments ahead, including a series of singles, an upcoming album, and a tour planned for 2025.
