“With “SEVENTEEN”, I pulled from hardcore metal influences I grew up to, a lot of which was about power, confidence, and belief in oneself. I wrote “SEVENTEEN” as a literal affirmation to stay young and strong forever while traveling the tropics, writing heavy metal riffs on the beach and drums on top of cliffs looking over the ocean. “SEVENTEEN” is about embracing an immortal attitude. Our beliefs define our reality, and with “SEVENTEEN” I create my own reality. Lot’s of rock songs talk about burning out over time, but that’s just not my vibe, I prefer to stay in my prime for all of eternity.”
