604 Restored is a new section of the company’s YouTube channel devoted to classic 604 videos which have been upscaled to HD 4K quality. Last month, 604 re-released four videos from The Organ in honour of the 20th Anniversary of their record Grab That Gun, and Thieves EP. Label President Jonathan Simkin said: “When I was introduced to this technology which enables us to upgrade the visuals on older videos to full 4K HD quality, I was thrilled. In some cases, it almost feels like you’re seeing the video for the first time. For me, it is akin to when old classic paintings are restored. I’m really looking forward to giving fans a new look at some older 604 assets.”
Originally released in May 2004, Come Again swiftly captivated rock enthusiasts with its melodies, robust guitar riffs, and evocative vocals. The album’s lead single, “So Far So Good,” swiftly ascended the charts of rock and alternative radio in North America, is certified Gold, and cemented Thornley’s stature in the music realm.
“The Come Again record was an interesting time for me personally. I wanted to get away from what I had been doing and really focus on the musical ideas, even streamline them,” expressed Ian Thornley. “The Come Again anniversary show stirred a lot of feelings for us, performing the songs live in Toronto again felt incredible and the audience energy was amazing. We’ve had a powerful urge to do it again, this time in Vancouver.”
Thornley’s collaboration with acclaimed producer Gavin Brown, drummer Sekou Lumumba, bassist Ken Tizzard, and guitarist Tavis Stanley conceived a timeless masterpiece that continues to resonate with fans worldwide. The remastered tracks on the limited-edition vinyl provide a fresh interpretation of the album’s iconic sound, while the inclusion of hit singles such as “So Far So Good”, “Come Again”, “Beautiful”, “Easy Comes”, and “Falling to Pieces” ensures a nostalgic journey for listeners.
Reflecting on the album’s significance, Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger shared, “It was an honour and a pleasure to be able to work on this record. Ian Thornley is one of my favourite guitar players and one of my favourite people of all time.” Kroeger’s involvement in Thornley’s album showcases a deep bond between the two musicians. He co-wrote three tracks and played a pivotal role in Thornley’s albums, from creative direction to a record deal with 604. Kroeger’s support and input have been crucial to Thornley’s artistic journey, highlighting their enduring partnership.
